RSA is a large non-university research institution in Austria. RSA has 40% of the revenues from industrial research and develop0ment services, the remainder from national funding and research grants. UNR - Uniresearch BV

Uniresearch BV provides services in the areas of national and European subsidies, such as the EC’s Seventh Framework Program. The services are aimed at supporting a customer through all stages of a research project: from topic selection and project inception, through building a consortium and writing a proposal, to contract negotiation and project execution. At present, Uniresearch manages 20 EC-funded research projects, varying from small collaborative projects (6 partners) to large-scale integrated projects (over 30 partners). Uniresearch is active in the following sectors: Mobility & Transport, Process Technologies, Chemistry, Materials & Nano Science, Environment & Energy, and Security. In the sequence of creating and executing research projects, Uniresearch can help to identify ideas for research and advise on applicable subsidies. The Framework Program success rate (since 1997) of Uniresearch is 75% (114 out of 153), which is significantly higher than the average success rate of 20% in FP7. AGH-UST - Akademia Gorniczo-Hutnicza Im.Stanislawa

AGH-University of Science and Technology was established in 1919 as University of Mining and until 2002 it was known as University of Mining and Metallurgy. At present AGH-UST is the second largest Polish technical university comprising 15 Faculties, which cover a wide spectrum of fundamental and applied sciences, ranging from traditional mining and metallurgy through fuels and energy, nuclear physics, electrical engineering, ICT, to management and social sciences. The University has well established lingk with international research community, participating in many international programs, including the framework programs. In 2003 an interfaculty unit, the School of Energy, was created, integrating the energy-related academic potential scattered among different faculties. Due to its traditional profile AGH maintains close contacts with coal industry, being the main institution training the technical cadres for the Polish mining sector.

The Institute of Energy and Environmental Technology founded in 1989, is an independent private-non-profit research institute associated with the University of Duisburg-Essen (Germany).
